The best way to do this is to use crafts. Little girls love making things, and to see what they have made form an integral part of the party is a real treat for them too.
My girls love baking. One of their favorites is to bake cookies in different shapes, like animals or flowers. I usually add some food coloring to make them look extra special, and the girls adore decorating them with colored frosting and edible glitter.
